Tweet-a-Sale is Ready

I know that I haven’t posted in about 5 months. I’ve been very busy building an awesome new Twitter app called Tweet-a-Sale.

Now the app doesn’t belong to me, I’ve been building it for a web development client of mine and it has gone through many different changes along the way. What started as a simple send a tweet when someone follows you has turned into much more.

The name of the app though is a little misleading. Tweet-a-Sale is not just about sending a tweet when a sale is made. You see, no tweet goes out under what is called a merchant account (the people that manage tweets).

The way this app works is simple, you create campaigns and people follow you through one of your campaigns. Behind the scenes though, they don’t simply follow you. We check with Twitter to see if a user that has clicked on your campaign link to follow is following you, if not, we set them up at Twitter to be one of your followers. Otherwise, we just ensure that they are following you through Tweet-a-Sale.

Once that is done, your campaign is setup to send people that have come through your campaign link to any page that you have setup in our system. That page can be a special offer, such as a freebie for following you or a special discount on a product of yours.

When this link is clicked, we also send out a tweet under your followers Twitter account. The tweets that go out are setup by you. You setup at least 5 different tweets, but can setup an infinite number, and one is chosen at random to go out under your followers account.

When the tweet goes out, it attaches a link for other people to follow you at your special Tweet-a-Sale follow URL and tells others what offer your follower got for following you. Can you see how this might increase your followers yet? It’s great when you have hundreds or thousands of your followers getting your information in front of their own followers.

But this isn’t the best part. What really makes this system great is that we have provided a way for you to add a form to your site to know when someone that follows you through Tweet-a-Sale has purchased from you. They simply enter their email into the form on your site, which then sends the data to Tweet-a-Sale.

Once Tweet-a-Sale has that form information, we check our database to see if the person with that email address is following you. If so, we send out a random tweet saying that the person has bought the product setup for the campaign, with a shortened link to your sales page.

So now, tweets go out from your followers to their list of followers. And like the tweets above, this all happens from your followers Twitter account, so now your offer and a link to it is in front of all of the people that follow your customers. And since the customer just bought, it’s like a little testimonial to make your offer more powerful.

Now Jon Benson, the owner of Tweet-a-Sale has run tests with his own Twitter account and the people on his own email lists to work the system. During his big test campaign, he saw his daily follower count grow 9 times more than his average. He also saw about a 13% increase in Word of Mouth Sales. Check out what Jon has to say about this.

Isn’t that just amazing? And those problems were before we had everything worked out and whitelisted with Twitter. Did you see the difference in daily sales? How about the 11% sales from word of mouth tweets?

I love how this system has helped just my client with building his sales. Can it help you too? Probably.

So check this out. I know that Tweet-a-Sale is going to help you get more sales and followers. I also know that their are more ways for you to automate Twitter as well to help you with marketing on Twitter.

So what I’m offering here is a 26 page, special report called “Tweetastic Twitter Traffic Revealed” that will help you to automate even more of your Twitter marketing efforts just for using the link below.

Some Great Relationship Marketing Strategies For Customer Retention in 2009

The other day, I talked about how creating an impression with your customers is important to relationship marketing. Today, a great tweet came through my account today from a blog that comes from a company that I’m sure most of you have heard of.

The company that many of you have heard of is Host Gator and their SeoHosting blog. Here’s what they thought about the importance of on client retention.

  • How to Improve Client Retention in 2009 – As the economy continues to struggle, 2009 is shaping up to be a tough year for entrepreneurs. There will be many hurdles to clear, but by sticking to the basics, we’ll be able to persevere. That’s why I want to talk about client retention. Sure, it’s a fairly basic concept to small business owners, but it’s something I believe will be of chief importance over the next year. …

The post then goes on to indicate as I had in my past post the importance of commumicating with your customers, valuing their opinion and that you need to keep in front of your customers.

They also add that you need to keep finding new ways to market to your customers because in the tough economic times, others aren’t. What they provide are some great relationship marketing strategies that will help you in your business as well. So go check it out.

Creating An Impression For Success With Relationship Marketing

Relationship marketing is about producing an impression that’s favorable enough that your customers think of your business first and foremost. That entails giving them something that goes above and beyond what they’d ordinarily get in dealing with other companies. It doesn’t have to be a lot and you don’t have to offer the world. It’s astonishing how just a bit can go a long way to guaranteeing that your clients think of you.

Offer surpassing customer service to those that buy from you. You can do this by training your staff to be able to address buyer concerns. Instruct and coach your employees, as well as yourself in the ways of positive and productive communication. Customers love doing business with others that keep a positive attitude.

Providing a money back guarantee to your buyers also assists you in establishing a trusting relationship. Please, don’t skimp on this. If you have a money back guarantee of, say, 30 or 60 days, people are likely to be more willing to use your product or service, since they know they can return it for a full refund should they dis-like it. And you must absolutely honor that money back guarantee. The Internet is great for what it can do, but it’s also going to bite you if you do not do a good job. Word travels very quick that you are not to be believed if you don’t do what you say you’re going to do.

Everybody likes receiving the royal treatment, particularly new buyers. When you are able to, determine a way to add value to what they buy. Offer up more information on how to utilize a product, coupon for the next purchase or have a great day! It doesn’t need to be an immense gesture just something that says you appreciate their business. You will be able to occasionally add value by not selling something.  Sounds counterintuitive but, if a customer asks for something they truly don’t need and you save them money you’ll have a lifelong buyer.

I’ve recently received some great feedback (thanks) from @BenjaminPrice on Twitter and he made a very good point about this point; “A quibble is it seems to make it more contrived than authentic”. Believe me, this is not my intent.

In fact, I would venture to say that if you are not authentic when dealing with your customers, then they will see through you, which may do more harm than good. To all that provide feedback, I thank you as it will help me to improve my writing for the future.

Plan Your Way To Improved Productivity

In the last couple of articles (Productivity Improvements in Four Easy Steps and Break Perfectionism for Great Productivity Improvement), I’ve written a little about productivity improvement and how it can help you. The idea here is that it’s hard to work in the Internet Marketing field if you have troubles being productive. So I just want to ensure that you have tools that will help you to improve your productivity to take on the world of IM.

This will be the last about productivity improvements for a while. I would actually like to start taking you on a journey to realize your Internet business dreams and to become successful. So today, let’s discuss a little about increasing your productivity through planning.

How many times have you heard the phrase, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail?” This one thing is so true when it comes to saving time and avoiding issues in the future. Not only will proper planning help you achieve your goals, it will also help you to make the most effective use of your time.

You see, when it comes to making a difference in your productivity, it’s little things that can make a big difference. Let’s take for example preparing dinner. If you were to plan out your meals for the next week and buy everything in advance, you would save time. It would be even better if you placed the items that you purchased in the order that you have planned your meals. So todays meal items are on top of the stack in your cupboard, refrigerator or freezer. Depending on how you feel, you could even pre-cook everything one day a week and then freeze them in the order of planning and pull them out as needed during the week.

You can also see great productivity improvements by planning out your day the previous day. You can either do this when you finish work for the day or before you go to bed at night. Of course, if you prefer, you can also do this first thing in the morning.

The idea here is to create a list of tasks that you need to perform on a given day. Once you have the list written out, you put the items on the list into order of importance. This will allow you to handle the most important tasks for the day and will leave you feeling more productive. If you feel that some of the other tasks are still extra important to do, you can also delegate those to co-workers or family members for family related tasks.

So help yourself to start seeing great productivity improvement and use a little planning in both your work and life. You’ll thank yourself down the road and find that you’ll be able to do more.

TweetDeck – A Sweet Twitter App

I’ve been using Twhirl for a while now when it comes to using Twitter. But today I just received a link to another application call TweetDeck.

This app is a nice looking app and certainly makes it easier to see who has responded or sent direct messages to you vs who is just tweeting in general amonst your friends.

Though the app is initially setup with dark backgrounds, it easily allows you to setup your own color scheme to meet your tastes. For now, mine will stay dark colored as I tend to like dark backgrounds and light text. But I do understand that looking at it too long tends to drive people crazy (myself included).

So check it out. You can download it at http://www.tweetdeck.com/beta/ and it is a pretty quick download.

Break Perfectionism For Great Productivity Improvement

Do you think that perfectionism is a good thing? In theory, I would say that it is, but in practice, it doesn’t help productivity improvement at all.

Naturally, it’s not a surprise if you have a tendency to be perfectionist at times. From as far back as you can recollect, I’m sure that you’ve heard from teachers or parents that you need to “do your best.”

And now that you’re an adult, you can’t quite shake the feelings of guilt when you turn out something  that’s not perfect. If it’s not perfect, then you probably didn’t do your best.

You know what though, in business you’ll often find that sometimes you have to push aside quality for speed due to the rewards that speed has. You see, speed often is a huge productivity improvement because you start creating money sooner.

Think about it…

If it takes you two months longer to “perfect” your product and/or sales process, then you’ve lost the ability to make money during that time. But if you provide your product almost immediately, then improve upon it, you can start producing money much earlier.

Maybe this makes you feel uneasy, but big business does this all of the time. Do you think that you would be studying this on a computer, or having a automobile if these big companies waited until their merchandise were perfect? Of course you wouldn’t, because to this day, there has never been a perfect car (they all have the possiblity of breaking down) or perfect operating system (they all crash) put on the market.

And you know why they do it? Because getting products to market makes them well-off. If you want to be well-off and have a thriving business, then you should deliberate doing the same thing.. You can even see productivity improvements in your own life by polishing off things fast and bettering them later.

Bottom line: Productive business proprietors and CEOs don’t try to get it perfect the first time. Besides, putting out your merchandise fast is a great way to get experience in the market and feedback from your clients. You may be suprised that what you think is complete in a product isn’t even required by customers.

This is one of the smartest ways to ensure that you will start gathering the riches that you desire and become successful. I can assure that if you ask a millionaire if his products and processes are perfect, that you’ll get a great big no. That’s because they know that nothing is absolutely perfect.. I’m sure though that you’ll find most of those millionaires will tell you that velocity and perseverance are more effective and critical than perfection.. In fact, you’ll find that the millionaires are always screening new ways to see what works best, the old process or the new.

Productivity Improvement In Four Easy Steps

Building your own Internet business is a great way to accomplish your dreams. But I found early that I felt overwhelmed when I thought about trying to build a bunch of websites that were very large. But I found that there were things that I could do to improve productivity and reduce the stress of the projects. So I’d like to share some tips with you.

Let’s say that you’ve got a large project needing to get done. Maybe you have to do plenty of research to get your project done. Or perhaps this is a personal task you need to complete, like thoroughly clean an entire apartment so you can get your rental deposit back.

But Every time you start to think about the task, you feel panic set in. Maybe you feel a little overwhelmed. You may feel as if the job is too big and you’ll never be able to finish it. And so you become paralyzed by the fact and you can’t seem to figure out where to start.

Sound familiar? Sure it does — we’ve all been there. And the next time you find yourself in that position, follow these quick and easy steps:

  1. Take action fast. As you spend more time thinking about how big of  a project or job you have, the better the change that you will start to feel overwhelmed and panick. The best way to reduce your fear is by taking action. You can start taking action by following the next three steps. Then you can actually get started on your task at hand. The sooner you do, the better you’ll feel.
  2. Break the big job into small steps. Let’s continue by creating a to-do list. Don’t start by putting huge tasks on your list (like “write an ebook”). Doing so will only cause you to panic even more.Instead, break the big job up into little tasks. Some of your small bite-size tasks may only take ten minutes to complete, while others could take a few hours. Just don’t put anything on your list that takes more than half a day – if it does, break it into smaller pieces.
  3. Prioritize your list. Next, prioritize your list of tasks in order of importance. If you have a chronological task (where certain things needed to be completed first before moving on to the next task), this step is easy. If nothing seems particularly more important than another step, then put the tasks you least like at the top of your list. It feels good when you get those nasty tasks complete and it seems to make the final tasks move quicker.
  4. Eliminate tasks that don’t need done. Finally, cross off anything on your list that simply isn’t important. If it doesn’t need to get done, then it only serves to make you feel overwhelmed.

It’s true — a journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step. The sooner you take that first step, the sooner you’ll complete your journey and be on your way to something that you want to do. In short: Speed and smaller tasks are key to productivity improvement!

Realize Your Internet Dreams

Do you have dreams of making your living online? Are you wondering how you are going to turn your dreams into reality? Good! You’ve come to the right place then.

It wasn’t very long ago that I lived my life working the 9 – 5 (hah more like 7 – 6) making someone else rich. I was a web developer working in a job that I was not happy in. I love devloping websites, my problem was with my employer. He wondered why things never got done on time, but refused to implement project management solutions so that he could see that every time he pushed one client ahead of others, jobs didn’t get done in time. It was a real downer.

It never seemed that any of the employees were ever appreciated. In fact, over about a 14 month period, the company had lost 8 employees due to disatisfaction with the job. The final straw for me was when my employer decided that he was going to come to the office I lived at and tell everyone there that we had to take a 50% pay cut if we were going to stay. There were a couple of us that decided that this action was our cue to move on to better and bigger things.

How can you relate to that story? With todays economy (especially in the US) it seems that there are more people relating. And even if they are loving their job, it doesn’t make it secure. In fact, within the past two months (As of this post), Citigroup laid-off over 50,000 people. That’s more than the population of most cities within the US. We can certainly see that JOB (Just Over Broke)s are not very safe in this world. I have witnessed this first hand.

If you’re fed up with being Just Over Broke, or you’ve been laid-off and you’re looking to use that as a reason to start your own work from home internet business, then I would like to help. I’ve been there and within the past 6 months, I’ve been building up my own Internet business. Now I’d like to give back and hope that you like what I have to offer.

My name is Ted Darling and I am here to help you build your dreams and turn them to reality.
